Linda enjoys what appears to be a perfect marriage with her rugged and handsome husband Mark and their adorable 8-year-old daughter Chloe, but when Chloe is injured by an elderly babysitter suffering from dementia, Linda becomes determined to protect her child from harm. She hires a new babysitter named Heather, who initially seems like the perfect fit for their family. However, Heather turns out to be a manipulative schemer who takes advantage of the existing tensions between Linda and Mark, reveling in the ensuing chaos.
